Inserting clip art picture, Slide, Text styling – PP

 

Do the following for all programs listed in the Applies To at the top of the article.

  1. On the Insert tab, in the Illustrations group, click Clip Art.

Clipart

  1. In the Clip Art task pane, in the Search for text box, type a word or phrase that describes the clip art that you want, or type all or some of the file name of the clip art.
  2. To narrow your search, do one or both of the following:
  • To limit the search results to a specific collection of clip art, in the Search in list, select the check box next to each collection that you want to search.
    For more information about collections, see About Clip Organizer collections.
  • To limit the search results to clip art, in the Results should be list, select the Clip Art check box. You can also select the check boxes next to PhotographsMovies, and Sounds to search those media types.
  1. Click Go.
  2. In the list of results, click the clip art to insert it.

TIP   To insert clip art into the notes pages of your Office PowerPoint 2007 presentation, switch to Notes view, and then do the procedure above.

 

Insert a picture from a Web page

Do the following for all programs listed in the Applies To at the top of the article.

  1. On the Web page, right-click the picture that you want, and then click Save Picture As on the shortcut menu.
  2. Enter the name that you want in the File name box, and then click Save.
  3. In your worksheet, presentation, or e-mail message, on the Insert tab, in the Illustrations group, clickPicture.

Clipart

Locate the picture that you want to insert, and then double-click it.

To add multiple pictures, press and hold CTRL while you click the pictures that you want to insert, and then click Insert.

NOTE   Pictures that you insert from a file are embedded in your worksheet or presentation. You can reduce the size of a file by linking to a picture instead. In the Insert Picture dialog box, click the picture that you want to insert, click the arrow next to Insert, and then click Link to File.

TIP   To insert a picture into the notes pages of your Office PowerPoint 2007 presentation, switch to Notes view, and then do the procedure above.

Insert a picture from a scanner

Applies only to Microsoft Office Excel 2007 and Office PowerPoint 2007

The From Scanner or Camera option for adding pictures to a presentation, photo album, or workbook is not available in Office PowerPoint 2007 or Office Excel 2007. Instead, you can add pictures from your camera or scanner by downloading the pictures to your computer first, and then copying them from your computer into PowerPoint or Excel.

NOTE   For more information about how to copy a picture file from your camera or scanner to your computer, see the documentation included with the camera or scanner.

After you download a picture to your computer, do the following:

  • On the Insert tab, in the Illustrations group, click Picture, locate the picture that you want to add to your presentation, photo album, or workbook and then click Insert.
